Atlantic salmon is native of Norwegian water. Nowadays, almost all consumed Atlantic salmon is farmed instead of wild. Atlantic salmon follow an anadromous fish migration pattern, they grow in salty sea water but they spawn in fresh water. Our Atlantic salmon is originated and processed responsibly under an ASC or BAP certified cluster.

FARMING METHOD
Atlantic salmon is farmed in cages in seawater. The salmon is transferred to freshwater tanks or cages for stripping. Atlantic salmon is farmed in its natural habitat in the icy, clean, deep fjords of Norway where it is closely monitored to ensure traceability. The Norwegian government imposes strict regulations on salmon farming, for example, regarding the quantities of fish that may be raised.
